Day time to Sultry Night Time Look.

Having rocked a gorgeous daytime look, it’s now time to switch to a night time look that will leave you the cynosure of all eyes and ensure you are “fashionably on time” for that event you have.

This demo shows how to quickly change your makeup look
saving you precious time that could be spent on your hair, clothes or any other aspect of your ensemble. So let’s get started.

EYE MAKEUP
Apply a highly pigmented eyeshadow (or one with a metallic or shimmery finish) over the mobile eyelid not extending beyond the crease. Pat in,( following the semi circular shape of the eye)  using the flat side of an eyeshadow brush (not those puff applicators).

Apply a medium brown eyeshadow into the crease and blend well in a windshield wiper motion using a blending brush to extend from the outer corner of the eye inwards also lightly diffusing it upwards.

Go back into the crease to apply a dark brown  (or black) eyeshadow colour. Apply in a sideways “<” shape following the shape of the other corner of the eye and blend inwards and along the upper lash line this time blending within the confines of the crease and lash line only, to intensify the natural contour of the eye.

Apply liquid liner on the upper lash line, as close to the root of the lashes as possible extending slightly outwards.

Apply mascara and line the lower lash line (which was unlined in the work/daytime makeup routine).
You can at this point just reapply powder but if you would prefer foundation, using a facial wipe, wipe down the other areas of the face (minus the eye and brow area of course! )Then apply foundation and set with a powder.

LIPS
Line the lips in a deep toned shade of your lipstick (e.g. wines and purple based shades of lip liner would work). Nude lips are beautiful for day time but don’t bring the edginess and bold color to play that is required for a sultry night time look. Blend the liner inwards then apply lipstick over it.
Layer on as many coats of lipstick as you want till you are satisfied with the intensity of the look

CONTOUR AND BLUSH APPLICATION

Contour with a contour powder (a dark face powder, deep toned matte blush can also be used instead) applying the powder from the ear into the hollows of the cheek and blending slightly outwards to graze the cheekbone.

At this point, in case your date is already sending little emissaries to you or honking the horn, then it’s safe to pick up your Swarovski studded clutch, click your heels and be on your merry way.
However if you have more time on your hands say perhaps a waiting chauffeur driven limo parked outside (a  gold plated carriage will suffice) with champagne cooling within its sweetly-fragranced interior you can then decide to add these few steps to your makeup routine.

Apply blush on the apples of the cheeks then blend backwards towards the ear. Then using a fan brush or clean finger, swipe some highlight just above the apples of the cheeks (that spot that seems to glimmer and catch light when you smile) also blending this backwards.
To complete the look slap on some false eyelashes and voilà! A sultry you emerges!

So try on this look, mix and match colours to find what works best for you and let me know your take on this.
